Ravens Consulting was awarded a consulting assignment to conduct endline data collection for the project “Enabling Improved Governance and Accountability in Tanzania through Digital Technology,” initiated by Oxfam in Tanzania in collaboration with Oxfam Solidarite (Belgium). This project focused on enhancing governance and accountability through the use of digital technology across five regions: Arusha, Geita, Kigoma, Mtwara, and Lindi.
As part of this assignment, Ravens Consulting’s responsibilities included developing and translating quantitative data collection tools. This ensured that the tools were appropriately tailored to the local context and could effectively gather the necessary data for the project’s objectives.
Ravens Consulting also undertook the vetting and training of field workers. This was a crucial step in ensuring that the field workers were well-prepared and capable of accurately collecting the required data. The training equipped them with the skills needed to use the data collection tools and handle various field situations.
Leading the data collection activities in the field was another key role for Ravens Consulting. They oversaw the entire process, ensuring that data collection was conducted efficiently and effectively across the five regions. This involved coordinating with field workers and monitoring the data collection process to maintain high standards of data quality.
The use of SurveyCTO electronic data collection technology was a significant aspect of this assignment. Ravens Consulting leveraged this technology to streamline the data collection process, ensuring accurate and timely data capture. This technological approach also facilitated better data management and analysis, contributing to the project’s overall success.
