Ravens Consulting undertook a comprehensive review of the Learning Management System (Moodle) used by Morogoro Vocational Teacher Training College (MVTTC). The evaluation focused on assessing the system’s effectiveness, accessibility, and interactivity in enhancing the learning process for two enrolled batches. The primary goal was to identify areas for improvement and enhance the overall user experience of the platform.

This review was conducted as part of a modular teacher training program that MVTTC jointly ran with SET, with financial backing from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) in Tanzania. The project aimed to upgrade the skills of teachers at Folk Development Colleges (FDC) during the first phase of the SET initiative.

In their assessment, Ravens Consulting scrutinized the functionalities of the MVTTC LMS. They gauged user satisfaction with the system, examining how well it met the needs of its users and identifying any areas that required enhancement. This user-centered approach ensured that the feedback collected was directly relevant to improving the learning management system.

The evaluation also involved a thorough review of the system design approach implemented by MVTTC. Ravens Consulting performed user acceptance tests to validate the effectiveness of the LMS design and its implementation. These tests were crucial in identifying any technical or usability issues that could hinder the learning experience.

Based on the functionality review and the contextual challenges observed, Ravens Consulting proposed and implemented improvements to the MVTTC LMS. These enhancements aimed to address the identified issues, ensuring that the system became more effective, accessible, and interactive for its users, ultimately leading to a better learning experience.
